The Boulder Newcomers Club was founded on January 10, 1950 as an informal social club by a group of women living in and around Boulder to help new members of the community establish friendships, learn about the area and have fun. The club has remained in continuous operation ever since and now includes a rolling membership of about 350 men and women, singles and couples, working professionals, empty nesters and retirees. Members reside in Boulder County (including the front range towns of Erie, Longmont, Lafayette, Louisville, Lyons, Nederland, Niwot and Superior). While we do not have precise records it is estimated that between 7,500 and 10,000 individuals have joined the BNC over the years to help them contribute to and connect with the vibrant local community.
The Boulder Newcomers Club is a volunteer-run non-profit social organization for those seeking to make new friends and engage in lots of fun and interesting activities while learning about our local communities.
