BUTTON ROCK via SLEEPY LION TRAIL

A scenic 5.4 mile rocky trail with a few steep sections and a significant piece of dirt road.  Just past Lyons. Well shaded in the morning. Dramatic views of Long's Peak, Mt. Meeker, and Twin Sisters beyond the reservoir.  Dogs are allowed on this trail.

Parking is limited so carpooling is recommended.  You can view the list of attendees and make arrangements.  

We may want to stop for a cerveza or margarita in Lyons after.

COME PREPARED
Come prepared with appropriate hiking clothes, boots/shoes, hiking poles, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, snacks, sandwiches and PLENTY OF WATER. Remember that hydration is very important at higher altitudes. Make it the best experience possible by being prepared!

It is a requirement that if you have to turn back that you must have a buddy to accompany you, and you must tell the coordinator (never just leave the group).

Please sign-up only if you plan to attend. If your plans change then please cancel at least 1 day in advance. Prospective members are allowed to attend this event.

Please make your own car pool arrangements from the list of registrants. Make sure to dress accordingly, use sunscreen, and bring plenty of water and a snack.
