Gadabout: Who Doesn't Love Hummingbirds?

About this event

Presented by Christine Copenhaver

Christine studied hummingbirds while in graduate school at the University of California - Irvine. She was interested in how territorial behavior affected the flow of pollen in hummingbird-pollinated plants. She won't be re-capping her dissertation for you but will share with you some interesting information about hummingbirds and their behavior. Topics covered will be:
Flight - How do they do it?!
Species Identification and Distribution in Colorado and the U.S.
Telling males from females and juveniles
Territorial Behavior - Why all the chasing?
Hummingbird Pollinated Plants in the Rockies
Plants to Attract Hummingbirds to Your Yard

Please join us for this very interesting Gadabout!
