Boulder Valley Ranch Hike

Boulder Valley Ranch

Boulder Valley Ranch Hike

The hike starts at 9:00 AM from the Boulder Valley Ranch Trail Head off Longhorn Road. The Sage and Eagle trails are dirt gravel roads that form a loop around Boulder Valley Ranch. The road is approximately 3.0 miles around a beautiful horse and cattle ranch. Restrooms and limited parking are available at the trail head.

Description:

This is a relatively flat to rolling dirt road around a working and historic ranch land north of Boulder. Boulder Valley Ranch is home to a fragile plant community on the black "Shale Barren" soils. Bell's Twinpod is a very rare plant that is unique to shale soils of Front Range Colorado.  This hike is good for all skill levels.
