Welcome to the Boulder Newcomers Club website!

BNC is a volunteer-run, non-profit social organization with nearly 400 members. We are a very active club, with over 30 events per month, ranging from Member Mingles to fun hikes on the beautiful trails around Boulder. We join to make new friends and have fun together while learning about our communities. We are couples, singles, empty nesters, working people, and retirees who are new to Boulder County. Feel free to explore our website! Take a look at our schedule on the monthly calendar; watch our slideshow of members making friends. If you have lived in Boulder County for three years or less, and decide we are a good fit for you, please see our instructions below for how to join the club. We look forward to making friends with you, too.

Sincerely,

John Mertz, BNC President

Welcome to August, fellow BNC Members!!

Preview Day this month is Thursday July 30, and Registration day is Friday the 31st. Get your registrations in early as it promises to be a jam-packed month with great things to do!

In addition to  5 hikes and 6 mingles, this month brings us discussion of a 2025 Sundance award winning film, a new event called Story Slam, an evening book discussion on how AI is poised to change our world, another Explorers Club presentation - this time on conservation in Antarctica, and in the category of “the past is now the future”, a gadabout on an introduction to legal uses of cannabis and psychedelics! BNC is nothing if not progressive!!

Also, the annual summer picnic is scheduled for August 30 at Foothills Community Park and is already open for registration, so sign up for good food, fun with friends, and games!

As always, Volunteers make this club what it is! So please everyone think about what you can do for the club this coming year. Hosting and planning events are great ways to get involved.

Registration Tips: If you host a mingle or a connect event, you get to register early for any subsequent mingle, AND it will not count against your limit of 4 events for that month. If you would like to learn more about hosting a Member Mingle or BNC Connect, send an email to the Activity Directors at bncactivitydir@gmail.comShould you need to cancel an event within three days, please email both the host and BNC Activity Directors to let them know.

We value your input! If you have ideas or suggestions for the club, or want to become more involved, reach out to any board member.
